Pet Assistance Resources

New Favorite Day is not an open intake shelter...

Our mission is to reduce the number of stray and unwanted pets in Rains County by supporting current pet owners in keeping their pets safe, healthy, and preventing unwanted pregnancies. As we are limited by space, finances, and foster availability, we are not able to accept owner surrenders. At this time, most of our pets come from other Rains County rescues.

If you’ve found a lost pet, please use the info below to help with reuniting them with their owner:

Rehome your pet directly, avoiding the shelter process

The New Favorite Day Home2Home program encourages pet owners to rehome their pets directly to another home, bypassing the shelter environment and ensuring the pet's health and happiness. New Favorite Day does not medically clear or behaviorally test pets in the Home2Home program, nor do we participate in the adoption process.

If you would like to participate in the Home2Home program, please email the following information to info@newfavoriteday.org:

1) At least one clear photo of the pet

2) Name and Age

3) Medical status (altered? vaccinated? heartworm negative?)

4) A brief biography, outlining behaviors and likes/dislikes

5) Your contact information for potential adopters, and Location

Vet Care

AFFORDABLE VET CARE

We understand that the only way we can keep pets off the streets is through spaying and neutering the parents and keeping owned pets healthy.

These resources offer affordable spay/neuter, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, vaccines, and more!
